Adult Education Classes - Family Ministry Series

Date: February 22, 2015 Time: 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM
Event Description Effectively Navigating Our Changing Family Roles:
Where are the Boundaries? Do These Boundaries Apply to Me Too?

Throughout our lives, each of us have many different roles within our families; we are daughters/sons, brothers/sisters, mothers/fathers, and grandmothers/grandfathers. Navigating the boundaries between these different roles can be challenging! Join experienced family Counselors from the Central DuPage Pastoral Care Counseling Center to explore the boundaries associated with these relationships and how to be better equipped to navigate these boundaries as our roles change within our family.

Our weekly topics and guest speakers will be:

February 22 - Family of Origin: Recognizing and discussing the influence that our “family of origin” has on parenting. ~ Led by Paul Omohundro.

March 8 - Boundaries with Grandparents: Creating appropriate boundaries with grandparents. ~ Led by Michelle Cain and April Martin.

March 15 - Adult Children Moving Back: A discussion about parenting adult children who have moved back into the home. ~ Led by Michelle Cain.

March 22 - Caring for Aging Parents: A discussion about the challenges that face adults caring for their aging parents. ~ Led by April Martin.
