Artist Series: Haydn's THE CREATION with John Nelson Conducting

Event Description The Wheaton College Artist Series presents Haydn's THE CREATION under the baton of Maestro John Nelson. In this signature event, Nelson conducts a performance by guest soloists and Wheaton College Conservatory of Music ensembles. Born in Costa Rica, John Nelson studied at Wheaton College and the Juilliard School of Music in New York. Internationally renowned for his interpretation of the large romantic works, Nelson has conducted most of the world's top orchestras including the London Symphony, Orchestre de Paris, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Chicago Symphony, the Philadelphia and Cleveland Orchestras and the New York Philharmonic. His varied repertoire has also taken him to many of the world's major opera houses.


Event Location The concert takes place in Edman Memorial Chapel, located on the northeast corner of Washington and Franklin streets in Wheaton, IL 60187.
