he Cathars, may be the most well-known Gnostic sect. As research for her book, Promised Child, Reverend Holly McClure traced the history of the Cathars from the south of France to Acadia to New Orleans, and interviewed professed modern day Cathari. Learn how they differed from other Gnostic sects as well as from other Christians of their time.
Holly Sullivan McClure was raised by a family of storytellers, mystics, preachers, and blue grass musicians. She?s tried on all those personas except blue grass musician and is an ordained priest in the Celtic Christian Church. Blending influences from her maternal Cherokee family and her paternal Scottish ancestors, Holly has come up with her own style of storytelling and writing. She is author of many books including Lightning Creek, Secrets & Ghost Horses, Promised Child, and Twisted Hair.
