Event Description The Communication Department at Wheaton College presents a lecture by Dr. Marshall Scott Poole. The title of Poole's lecture is "Come Together, Right Now: Collaboration in a Digital World." Dr. Poole is professor of communication and senior research scientist at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications at the University of Illinois. He also serves as director of I-CHASS: The University's Institute for Computing in the Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences. One of Poole's current research activities is the Virtual Worlds Exploratorium Project, a multi-university collaboration which investigates communication and behavior in massive multiplayer online games.
