Faith, Friendship, & Sisterhood: Women?s Walk for Peace

Event Description
The women of St. Matthew United Church of Christ cordially invite women of all faith backgrounds to come join us for an afternoon of interfaith unity and fellowship on Sunday, April 10, 2016, from 2:30pm to 5pm at St. Matthew United Church of Christ in Wheaton. We will be featuring a presentation by Nadia Qazi of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community addressing women of all faiths on how women can unite as sisters and work for peace in our respective communities. We will advocate that we change the hateful rhetoric in the current political climate. The event will also feature a labyrinth walk coordinated by the Global Healing Response, which organizes community labyrinth walks as a way to promote unity, peace and compassion in society. We will conclude the event with an interfaith prayer for peace, both at home and around the world.
