Home Sweet Home: Gingerbread Decorating and Breakfast with Santa
Bring your kids and grandkids on Saturday, December 6, 9 a.m. to 12 noon, to The Abbington, 3 South 002 IL Route 53, Glen Ellyn, to decorate colorful gingerbread houses in support of those children and their mothers who are healing from domestic abuse this holiday season. What a festive way to start a new holiday tradition for your family -- and take home the perfect centerpiece for your table. Event includes a breakfast buffet (served 9:30 - 11 a.m. -- come when you like, stay as long as you want), visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, musical entertainment, caroling, storytelling, balloon artist, costumed storybook characters, face painting and more. All proceeds benefit Family Shelter Service, offering help and hope to individuals affected by domestic violence. Tickets, available at www.familyshelterservice.org, are $40 for adults and $25 for children.
