ISAE Lecture: "'An Odd Kind of Cross to Bear': Being Mrs. Billy Graham"

Event Description Dr. Anne Blue Wills will deliver a lecture about Ruth Graham, the wife of evangelist Billy Graham. The lecture, titled "'An Odd Kind of Cross to Bear': Being Mrs. Billy Graham," refers to a line Mrs. Graham wrote to describe the challenges of being wed to a public figure.

Wills is an associate professor of religion at Davidson College in North Carolina. She is currently working on a biography of Ruth Graham.

The lecture, sponsored by the Institute for the Study of American Evangelicals (ISAE) at Wheaton College, is part of ISAE's project "The Worlds of Billy Graham," funded by a grant from the Lilly Endowment.
