Lithuanian Eggs Workshop

Event Description The Community School of the Arts (CSA) at Wheaton College offers a visual arts workshop teaching Lithuanian Egg Design. Marguciai is the traditional way to decorate Easter eggs in Lithuania. Using a candle, pin, wax, and dyes, workshop participants will learn to make beautifully intricate designs on eggs. Guest artist Vytas Miknaitis will lead the workshop. Miknaitis, who grew up in Chicago's Lithuanian immigrant culture, currently designs and builds custom wood furnishings.



Event Location The afternoon class, designed for sixth graders to adults, takes place in Suite 109 at the CSA Visual Art Studio, located at 1825 College Avenue in Wheaton.
