"Religion and Science in Modern America"

Event Description Prof. Edward Davis delivers the McIntyre Lecture in Philosophy and History of Science at Wheaton College, titled "Religion and Science in Modern America."
Dr. Davis is the Distinguished Professor of the History of Science at Messiah College. His research interests include history of science, the Scientific Revolution, and faith. In his Friday afternoon lecture he will discuss how Americans have debated the religious meaning of science from the 1920s (the period of the famous Scopes "monkey trial") right up to the present day.

This lecture is sponsored by the Physics and Astronomy Departments at Wheaton College.
