Silent Night by Carillon and Candlelight
Date: December 24, 2020
Time: 7:00 PM - 7:15 PM
Event Description
Join in one of the most beloved traditions of Gary United Methodist Church as we gather outdoors on Christmas Eve to sing “Silent Night” by candlelight. Our voices will fill the air and our candles will light the night as our carillon leads the Christmas hymn at 7 p.m.
Please arrive early to find parking near the church, located at 224 N. Main Street in Wheaton. Luminaries will glow in a perimeter around the building and adjacent sidewalks, showing proper distancing of six feet. (People of the same household may stand closer together.) Be sure to dress for the weather, and all carolers over the age of two will wear masks. You may bring your own candles (or flashlights or cell phones!).
We will be in place at 7 p.m., light our candles, and sing four stanzas of “Silent Night" as we celebrate the birth of Jesus and the light He brings to the world.
