Wheaton History on Dispaly at DuPage County Fair

Event Description

Wheaton history will be featured in an exhibit by the Center for History at the DuPage County Fair in the Memory Building.  Ten heritage panels will depict the growth of Wheaton beginning with its founding, titles are: 

1.      From Prairie to County Seat: Wheaton, Illinois

2.      Capital of DuPage County

3.      The Growth of a Small Rural Town

4.      Getting Around  (transportation)

5.      The Heart of the Community  (business)

6.      Quality of Life Excels  (education)

7.      Leisure Time

8.      Fires & Floods

9.      Wheaton National Hall of Fame

10.    Caretaker of History

 

Artifacts, photos and some trivia will complement the panels.  Stop by for an enjoyable history lesson.
