The Origins of Our Original Recipe
Mamie's Toffee began out of personal turmoil and has grown exponentially since its inception. We are a small Candy Company focusing on quality ingredients and original recipes. You can find us at local craft shows, pop up events and concessions.
In 2010 we had a rough year with lots of ups and downs, but we were not going to let it get the best of us! We can't thank all our friends & family enough for all the good wishes, prayers, help with the kids and cars throughout that year. It means more to us than you can ever know. However, when we came to a fork in the road financially and as many other Americans have done, we came up with what we think is a very creative (and yummy) solution.
Our toffee is produced following or exceeding all of the health department’s guidelines. Due to those guidelines we are unable to offer samples at this time, you will just have to trust us it’s that good! At all of our local events we strive to maintain a generous social distance, provide hand sanitizer and do everything to keep our staff and customers safe.
We like to switch things up and with the holidays approaching you will find new and unique treats and gifts on our table each week.

Perhaps you have a give-away with your logo or some other special offer you'd like to share with our members? Please let us know and we'll arrange for pick-up or drop-off to include your item in the gift box. We'll need 100-150 of your give-away items by Wed., Dec. 2, and they have to fit inside... a car.

The Origins of Our Original Recipe
Mamie's Toffee began out of personal turmoil and has grown exponentially since its inception. We are a small Candy Company focusing on quality ingredients and original recipes. You can find us at local craft shows, pop up events and concessions.
In 2010 we had a rough year with lots of ups and downs, but we were not going to let it get the best of us! We can't thank all our friends & family enough for all the good wishes, prayers, help with the kids and cars throughout that year. It means more to us than you can ever know. However, when we came to a fork in the road financially and as many other Americans have done, we came up with what we think is a very creative (and yummy) solution.
Our toffee is produced following or exceeding all of the health department’s guidelines. Due to those guidelines we are unable to offer samples at this time, you will just have to trust us it’s that good! At all of our local events we strive to maintain a generous social distance, provide hand sanitizer and do everything to keep our staff and customers safe.
We like to switch things up and with the holidays approaching you will find new and unique treats and gifts on our table each week.

Held on the winter solstice, the longest night of the year, this quiet, meditative worship service not only makes time for remembering loved ones but also gives us an opportunity to share our hurting places with God. Join in one of the most beloved traditions of Gary United Methodist Church as we gather outdoors on Christmas Eve to sing “Silent Night” by candlelight. Our voices will fill the air and our candles will light the night as our carillon leads the Christmas hymn at 7 p.m.
Please arrive early to find parking near the church, located at 224 N. Main Street in Wheaton. Luminaries will glow in a perimeter around the building and adjacent sidewalks, showing proper distancing of six feet. (People of the same household may stand closer together.) Be sure to dress for the weather, and all carolers over the age of two will wear masks. You may bring your own candles (or flashlights or cell phones!).
We will be in place at 7 p.m., light our candles, and sing four stanzas of “Silent Night" as we celebrate the birth of Jesus and the light He brings to the world. |

| Dec 29 Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Committee Meeting |
During 2020 we had discussions around the topic of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. Before the year ends, we’d like to invite you to another conversation around DEI at 11:30 a.m. next Tuesday, Dec. 29, via Zoom.
We are creating a DEI Committee for 2021 and we’d like to do some brainstorming around the topic. Some of you have expressed interest via our DEI survey; some of you said, “Not right now, but keep me posted.” So this does not oblige you to be part of the committee. Rather, it’s a conversation around what a DEI committee will look like and what the mission of the committee would be in coordination with the Chamber’s mission to:
- Promote business
- Enhance economic development
- Serve as a catalyst for improving the quality of life in the community
