| Jan 18 DuPage County Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration |
All residents of DuPage and neighboring counties are invited to join their neighbors in “Living The Dream,” the Annual Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Birthday and legacy, in a documentary at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, January 18, 2021. This recorded service will be available on the following sites: Second Baptist Church website (sbcwheaton.org), YouTube and Facebook, and Gary United Methodist Church website (garychurch.org) and Facebook.
This annual event welcomes people of all races, faith traditions, ethnic backgrounds and economic classes, along with public, education, business and religious leaders, to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on this national holiday. This year we celebrate 31 years, the oldest public celebration of the life and ministry of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in DuPage County.
This documentary will include singing by the Second Baptist Church Music Ministry and more, performances by George Saltar, “Motivator G,” Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Mountain Top Speech by 14-year-old Charles Sykes, excerpts from various keynotes speakers, and more.

Annual "State of the City" Address featuring the Honorable Mayor Phil Suess
Join us as we hear from Mayor Phil Suess who will give an overview of 2020 with the City of Wheaton's vision for 2021.
We'll meet virtually via Zoom from noon to 1:00 p.m., then we invite you to stay for some information networking until 1:30 p.m.
Our yearly tradition of the Mayor's State of the City Address is usually sold out! This year, virtual programming means no one will be turned away. We look forward to hearing a review of 2020 and the City's vision for 2021 from Mayor Suess.
Please note: Thanks to those who can help the Chamber's operating fund by giving the suggested contribution of $15 for members, $25 for non-members. |

Our first Ribbon-Cutting since last year will be held virtually at HOTWORX Wheaton at 1:00 p.m. this Friday, Jan. 22. We'll be there to help owners Emily Garrity and Diane Jeremias officially open their new studio. HOTWORX combines heat, infrared and exercise to provide a workout like no other. These two remarkable women came together to start a business and we're delighted to help them officially launch with a ribbon-cutting held via Facebook Live.
