about us

We serve the communities of Carol Stream, Warrenville, West Chicago, Wheaton, and Winfield.

Formed in 1955, the League of Women Voters of Wheaton provides information on topics that impact our local, state, and federal government. The League works to influence and increase understanding of public policy through education and advocacy. With over 100 years of experience, the League has grown to more than 800 local and state affiliations and is one of America’s most trusted grassroots organizations. The League does not support, endorse, or oppose political candidates. Membership in the League is open to people ages 16 and over.

Have you moved or changed your name since you last voted? Do you need to register to vote? The League of Women Voters registers voters at farmers markets, festivals, local libraries, and other community events as well as at our community high schools. Visit our website to learn what's new and to stay informed about upcoming elections.

Get the facts about important issues. You're invited to attend our Civic Awareness Series, the monthly educational programs covering timely topics. These programs are free and open to the public. Also, please join our Living Room Conversations where people discuss topics of mutual interests from many perspectives.
