Are You Prepared for Workplace Emergencies?
WHEATON, Ill. – You may be prepared for emergencies in your home, but how about at work? Do you know your employer’s plan for what to do if faced with a natural disaster or terrorist attack? How would your workplace continue to operate if a flu pandemic affected a large number of employees?

Watch a new video from the City of Wheaton with the DuPage County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management called “Preparing for Workplace Emergencies” to learn what you need to do to be prepared for many types of emergencies that can affect you in the workplace just as easily as when you are at home.

David Gervino of the DuPage County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management outlines tips for how your workplace can get started creating a plan if one isn’t in place. He also shares resources that provide best practices checklists that can help improve an existing plan.

Whether your workplace is small or large, this informative program covers a number of situations and ideas you should consider so you can be more prepared for anything you might encounter while at work.

This video is now available on the City’s website and on City of Wheaton Channel 10.
