May 5    An Introduction to Fresh Ideas: A Mentoring Program for Wheaton Chamber Members
Share and learn as part of “Fresh Ideas,” a new Mentoring Program for Wheaton Chamber Members (Class #2)

Please join us for:
An Introduction to “Fresh Ideas: A Mentoring Program for Wheaton Chamber Members”
via Zoom at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 5, 2020

We were more than thrilled when 16 Wheaton Chamber members signed up for Class #1 of "Fresh Ideas: A Mentoring Program for Wheaton Chamber Members." Now we're signing folks up for Class #2, which begins in June. But first, we're offering this Introduction to Fresh Ideas at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 5.

Here's what our mentees are saying about the program:

"You feel like you have an ally, that you're not alone."

"This gives me someone to turn to who has objectivity, someone committed to that time together to discuss what's important to me and my business."

"This gives me a different set of eyes on my business. She encouraged me to explore partnerships, and that's working..."

"[The value is in] the connection, someone else to call. I've had some big projects this year and my mentor is helping me learn how to say, 'No.'"

And here are a few insights from our mentors:

"I'm grateful to have this as an opportunity to stay connected."

"Love that the program is structured--that's invaluable!"

"When my mentor needed things I couldn't help with, I brought in someone who could..."

Please join us for an Introduction to Fresh Ideas which will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Wednesday, May 5, via Zoom. Come learn more from those who have been in the program, and hear about how mentoring, or being mentored, can be an asset to you, your business & career. If you're ready to sign up, here are the mentor or mentee applications

Learn more about the details of the program before making a commitment.

May 25    Women In Business Committee Meeting: Brigit Briddle-Huyvaert Tells Her Story
Speaker:  Brigit Briddle-Huyvaert, Chairwoman, WIB Committee

Having lost her mother at age 13 and her father at 21, Brigit learned early on to not take your time with people for granted and to live your life out loud!  Also, create as many wonder life experiences as possible and positive conversations with friends and family.  Brigit grew up in an entrepreneurial family and learned early on you may wear many hats as a business owner.  Brigit graduated from MacMurry College with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work, in addition she had a passion for the theater and at one time thought that would be her life plan.

Brigit was introduced to Mary Kay, Inc. and was mentored by one of the top executives in her company.  She has coached thousands of women over 35 years, helping them achieve their dreams and goals.  "Nothing gives me greater pleasure than to see a woman go to the top while balancing a family."  In addition to coaching women in her Mary Kay business, she coaches others in their business endeavors.

Join WIB May 25th and hear her story, how she stays motivated, and continues to set higher goals.

Women who are members of this committee place great value on the relationships they develop with other businesswomen. Because of those relationships they accomplish great things together and grow their business while also developing professionally.
