Celebrating Cancer Survivorship
Saturday, June 4
Northwestern Medicine Field
34W002 Cherry Lane, Geneva, Illinois 60134
Day of Registration Begins at 8 am
Opening Ceremony at 8:30 am
Join us on Saturday, June 4, to celebrate cancer survivors. The celebration will feature a walk and 5K run, with a fun-packed festival after!
We hope you will celebrate with us by becoming a participant or a sponsor of Bridge Walk. Your support will help fund important services for patients with cancer and their families at LivingWell Cancer Resource Center, part of Northwestern Medicine.
Each year, thousands of people receive compassionate care from LivingWell programs that empower, encourage, support and offer hope to patients and families as they face cancer. Services include counseling, support groups, nutrition education, yoga and fitness classes, art instruction, massages and medical updates — all provided at no cost.
For the first time in Bridge Walk history, we are offering a chip-timed 5K run. If you want to learn your 5K finish time, be sure to select the Runner option during registration so you will be assigned a bib number.
Additional Event Details
Your health and safety are our top priority. It is our intention to host the 2022 Bridge Walk as an in-person event, but we are closely monitoring COVID-19 infection rates in the local area, and may need to host the event virtually or cancel it. We will communicate any changes to the event format if and when they develop. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility.

Jun 17 Drive, Drop & Donate Shred & Electronic Recycle Event |
Recycle electronics and shred documents during DuPage Credit Union’s Ninth Annual Drive, Drop & Donate event to benefit DuPage County students in need Friday, June 17 at its Naperville Operations Center, 1515 Bond Street.
Electronic Recycling and Document Shredding provided by Citadel:
- Electronic Recycling – 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Sensitive Document Shredding – 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The donation to shred or recycle is $10 per service, with 100% of the proceeds benefitting the Credit Union’s We’ve Got Your Back fundraiser to help local students in need. Both cash and credit will be accepted; please place cash in an envelope.
For your safety and the safety of the credit union team, those dropping off items are asked to please remain in their vehicles and have recyclables in their trunks.
“The past few years have been especially hard on local families’ pocketbooks,” said Amy Brandt, Senior Vice President of Digital, Payment and Learning Transformation. “Our goal is to help alleviate some of the financial stress associated with back to school shopping and making sure local students in need have the supplies they need to succeed in the classroom.”
Last year, the credit union raised $7,100 during its Drive, Drop & Donate event.
One hundred percent of the funds raised will be used to purchase supply kits and backpacks. The supplies will be given out to students before the start of the 2022-2023 school year at the annual Back to School Fair held at the DuPage County Fairgrounds on August 10.
“Drive, Drop & Donate will take place, come rain or shine,” Brandt added, “hope to see you there.”
Gerald Subaru of Naperville is the sponsor of Drive, Drop & Donate. To learn more, view a list of acceptable items or to make a donation to We’ve Got Your Back, visit dupagecu.com/DDD.

Jun 18 DuPage Symphony Orchestra at Cantigny Park |
SUMMER SYMPHONY CONCERTS RETURN THIS MONTH
Two evening symphony concerts, performed under the stars, are scheduled for Cantigny Park this summer. Admission to both family-friendly shows is free with paid parking.
• DuPage Symphony Orchestra
Saturday, June 18 ● 7 pm
Celebrate the start of summer as the DSO performs “Hollywood Heroes,” featuring some of the most memorable film scores of the last 50 years. Enjoy works by Elmer Bernstein, Klaus Badelt, James Newton Howard, and (of course) the great John Williams. Founded in 1954 and based in Naperville, the DuPage Symphony Orchestra is conducted by Music Director Barbara Schubert.
• West Suburban Symphony
Saturday, July 30 ● 7 pm
The symphony presents “Cinema Classics,” a musical collection of the best movie music ever written! The program includes a medley of John Williams’ greatest melodies along with film and TV music by Elmer Bernstein, Danny Elfman, Jerry Goldsmith, Stephen Sondheim, Hans Zimmer, and Downers Grove’s Tom Maslan. Founded in 1947 and based in Hinsdale, the West Suburban Symphony is conducted by Music Director Peter Lipari.
No tickets are needed for these 75-minute “Ravinia style” concerts. Each will be performed outside the First Division Museum with no intermission. Seating is on the lawn, so blankets or chairs are recommended. Picnics are welcome, and food and drink concessions will be available. Parking is $10 per vehicle.
Cantigny Park is open daily from 7 am to sunset. Visitor information and a calendar of events are online at Cantigny.org.

There are opportunities to:
- Expand your network to include more Chamber members, especially women, and connect with Women In Business groups in neighboring chambers.
- Develop relationships with other businesses as you learn more about them
