We are a dyslexia-focused Center dedicated to educating and supporting students, parents, and teachers within our local communities. The Center offers the following services: ACADEMIC LANGUAGE THERAPY FOR STUDENTS WITH SYDLEXIA, EDUCATIONAL TUTORING SERVICES FOR STUDENTS, and DYSLEXIA THERAPY TRAINING FOR EDUCATORS.
The Co-Founder, Tara, is a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT), a Qualified Instructor (QI). Tara earned her Qualified Instructor (QI) professional credential at McKinney Christian Academy’s Multisensory Teacher Training Center in Texas.
As a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT), Tara is specially trained to use Orton-Gillingham methods that are individualized and unique to the specific learner. Her instructional delivery involves using Take Flight: A Comprehensive Intervention for Students with Dyslexia, which is a multisensory approach to teaching language acquisition skills that develop a student’s ability to learn to read, write and spell.
A Qualified Instructor (QI) has earned the credential necessary to teach professionals to become a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) through an accredited International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council (IMSLEC) training center. Tara has been approved to offer training in Take Flight: A Comprehensive Intervention for Students with Dyslexia that was developed by staff at the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning Disorders at Scottish Rite for Children (SRC) in Dallas, Texas.
